Gawsh, this gratitude thingy is getting trickier and trickier to think of day by day! Okay, let's see... I'm grateful for... budget airlines! Why? Because Judi will be flying in this weekend for a visit/birthday celebration! LOL! Whee-hee!! Can't wait!
I just got back from dinner with Little Jo, where we ate at this restaurant we rather like, Red Tomato at 313@Somerset. Good food, reasonable prices, yum! After dinner we walked past an outlet selling enticing-looking Japanese mochi with fascinating flavours like caramel macchiato, mango yoghurt and sakura (Japanese flower blossom). So Jo and I bought two mochi flavours for a taste test, and troubled the lady behind the counter to cut them into halves so we could share them. With our takeaway paper bag in hand, we sat ourselves at a Coffee Bean outlet for red velvet cocoa and candy cane tea (Christmas specials; the red velvet cocoa was soothingly yummy but tasted nothing like cocoa, and what exactly does red velvet taste like?!) coupled with a mango white chocolate meringue cake. Wouldn't you know it, when we'd left the coffee place and we were both on our separate journeys home, we remembered the takeaway bag of mochi that we'd left on our table at Coffee Bean, unsampled.
